The residence is located in the highest part of the historic center of Ferentillo, an ancient medieval village in the heart of Valnerina, near the Mummies Museum and the Abbey of San Pietro in Valle. A few kilometers away you will find the famous Marmore Waterfalls and Lake Piediluco. The city of Terni is less than 20 km away, as well as Spoleto. Within an hour's drive you can visit Carsulae, an important Roman archaeological area, or the fascinating underground city of Narni, as well as the cities of Orvieto and Assisi. Along the Valnerina, you can visit numerous medieval villages until you reach Norcia and Cascia, places where St. Benedict and St. Rita lived, and where Umbrian cuisine reaches its highest expression. Valnerina, particularly the area of Ferentillo, offers many opportunities for practicing sports at every level, both for families and enthusiasts. You can try rock climbing on one of the most famous cliffs or go rafting, either on a challenging route like the Marmore, or on a more tranquil experience suitable for families, in the wonderful scenery of the Nera river, with departure right in front of the residence. In the immediate vicinity, you can enjoy mountain biking, both on excursions and breathtaking descents. Other activities include Nordic walking, canyoning, and sport fishing for trout in the Nera River Park, just 300 meters from the residence. You will also have the opportunity to take pleasant walks or challenging hikes, making these places an oasis where you can relax in tranquility, away from any disturbances, or engage in activities in contact with majestic nature in all its forms: rivers, lakes, streams, hills, mountains, and plateaus like Castelluccio di Norcia.
